Monday Madness
There hasn't been one Monday this school year that we have been able to follow the "plan," but each and every Monday has been full and productive. Today's list: Wordly Wise, Six Questions, History Review, Voyages, Math, Prison Ministry awareness, and Biology. Still to come: American Heritage Girls and football practice tonight. Really, do we every follow the "plan" and what is the "plan" anyway?

The Call
The call to homeschool came long ago, but it wasn't until June of 2008 that we steps over the threshold of this grand adventure. Now, as we enter our third year, I can't ever imagine turing back. Each day provides us with new found treasures and dragons to slay. Today was a good day--three games (two losses and one unscored), dreaming in the IKEA catalog, planning for Sunday classes at church (two of them), writing an update for the Academy families, and snuggling up close to watch CSI (TIVOed from last week). Full, fun, and family. Saturday is my Sabbath.
Welcome
I've almost started this half a dozen times, only to log out without writing a thing. Perhaps I feel I've nothing significant to say? Or, maybe I'm worried it's a narcissistic activity only leading to self pity and self indulgence? But, what I really want is a forum for the kids to express their daily thoughts, frustrations, and above all, their adventures in homeschooling. So here we are, amid miriads of other bloggers, recording our story for you.
We have received the Call, passed the Threshold, and there is no turning back....
