Preschool Math

Today we're learning how to make pictographs. Each member if the family had a portrait drawn by our math student.

Work: Both Academic and Apostolic

We believe it is important to develop our minds and develop our communities. Therefore, we take time to regulary exercise our brains with academic study. Areas of focus include: History and Geography, Language Arts, Literature, Science, Math and Logic, Foreign Language, Music Performance, Art, Health, and Religion (Systematic Study).

Pray: As a Community and Individually

We believe it is important to devote time each day in prayer. We do this individually with TWJ time. This is individual prayer time, sometimes at the Church and other times at home, when each of us can express ourselves in our own unique ways. Some color pictures of Jesus, others read the Bible, some meditate, and others journal.

We pray as a community before meals, in the evening, at Mass both on Sunday and Wednesday mornings, and sometimes participate in other prayer "services" that individuals organize for the whole domestic church.

Hospitality: Welcoming, Open, Caring

We believe hospitality is essential. It's the fuel that feeds a lonely soul, the food that feeds a hungry belly, a smile that feeds a broken face. We try to have an open home where friends are welcome and food is plentiful. We also like to bring our hospitality with us where ever we go.

Play: On Teams, As a Family, By Ourselves

We believe that recreation is important to a well-balanced life. We play football (Noah), Soccer (Emma and Evelyn), and just plain go crazy (Brayden). We try to exercise everyday, sometimes as a whole family on outings like hikes and bike rides. We also like to go camping and can't wait for the day we can start backpacking again--Brayden needs to be able to carry his own things!
